The Builder
Darshil
Khunt
Entrepreneur. Podcast Host. Aspiring VC. Ecosystem Builder.
He's not a pundit. He's not a thought
leader with a newsletter about thought leadership.
He's someone who got into the startup ecosystem,
couldn't find the honest version of it, and decided to build
the platform he wished existed.
Where It Started
He Didn't Find the Community He Needed. So He Built It.
Darshil Khunt grew up in the middle of the startup world's noise — surrounded by hype cycles, success theatre, and a constant stream of "how I built a $10M business in 18 months" content that left out everything that actually mattered.
He wanted to understand how companies were really built. How investors actually made decisions. What the ecosystem looked like from the inside, not the PR-approved version of it. He couldn't find it. So he started building toward it.
What started as an attempt to build a community-driven venture fund became something more fundamental: a conviction that the startup ecosystem needed better media. More honest media. That conviction became CREDX.
From Then to Now
The Journey
The Foundation
Early Years
Darshil grew up with an entrepreneurial mindset and an instinct for community. Before he understood what a startup was, he understood that the most interesting things happened when people collaborated without gatekeepers.
First Contact
Discovering the Ecosystem
First exposure to the startup world. The energy was undeniable. The narrative was polished to a shine. He started asking: what's the version of this story that's actually true?
CREDX Begins
Community-Driven VC
CREDX Ventures launched. The vision: a community-driven VC ecosystem — a fund built around radical transparency, operator experience, and the "MAFIA" philosophy. Built Investr, a private investor community. Launched a syndicate.
The Pivot
From Fund to Media Platform
The most important decision: recognize what the ecosystem actually needed. Not another fund. Not another community with a paywall. But a media platform with a spine. CREDX pivoted to media — podcast, newsletter, live.
Launch
Breakout Podcast Goes Live
The Breakout Podcast goes live. Raw. Real. Unfiltered. Conversations with global founders, investors, and operators that sound nothing like a press release.
Expansion
CREDX Live Launches
CREDX Live launches across LinkedIn, YouTube, and X Spaces. Live discussions on what's happening in startups and venture capital — in real time, with the people actually doing the work.
Evolution
Decks & Checks Evolves
Decks & Checks becomes a full pipeline: submit your deck, get reviewed, and if selected — get a private data room where investors can find you and start a real conversation.
Now
Building the Platform, Staying Honest
CREDX is a startup and VC media platform operating across Canada, the US, and India. The work continues. The rule doesn't change: if it avoids uncomfortable perspectives to stay nice, it doesn't belong here.
What He Believes
The Principles He Builds From
01
Progress comes from multiple perspectives — not only the popular ones.
02
Trust is built by being honest when it costs something — not just when it's easy.
03
Great companies are built in open conversation. Founders who share their reality attract the right collaborators.
04
The ecosystem is stronger when it's more visible. Media isn't separate from the work — it is work when it's done right.
